Iron Heart classic work shirt, constructed from their 10oz selvedge denim and overdyed blue. Known as “direct dying’, the overdying method they’ve utilized here allows the fibers to gradually absorb the color molecules without the need for other chemicals to aid adhesion. More commonly used to add vibrant tones to lighter colored fabrics, when overdying darker fabrics - such as the indigo denim used here - the color appears less prominent. The result is a fabric which displays a subtle, yet distinctive hue, with the potential for some really unique, high-contrast fades to develop.
