Settlemier’s Jackets
Settlemier’s Jackets represents a three-generation legacy rooted in grit, craftsmanship, and American manufacturing. In the wake of the Great Depression, Dorothy and Dale Nelson left the Midwest in search of opportunity, eventually settling in Vanport, Oregon, where a devastating flood wiped away their first home but not their determination. Dorothy’s entrepreneurial spirit led her from an entry-level manufacturing job to founding Nelson’s Jackets in 1967. The patterns she developed — and even the knitting machines once housed in the family garage — continue to shape the jackets you wear today. This isn’t just apparel — it’s heritage, built for you to wear and pass down for generations.
