Founded in New York in 1999 by Daiki Suzuki, Engineered Garments grew out of Suzuki’s early work with the Nepenthes stores and his desire to create clothing shaped by real life, not rigid rules. Each garment is thoughtfully engineered with distinctive construction, layered details, and subtle functionality—designed to gain character through wear and experience. Embracing contrast and imperfection, Engineered Garments challenges conventional ideas of “perfect design,” creating pieces that feel personal, purposeful, and built to evolve over time.
