Open Road Royal Deluxe Hat in Natural
Open Road 6X. The Royal Deluxe owes its signature suppleness to a proprietary fur-felt blend, which gives the hat a forgiving fit and allows the brim to be snapped up or down. Like all Open Roads, the Royal Deluxe easily transitions from city to country, and looks equally sharp on a woman or a man.
Introduced in 1937, the Open Road was originally sold with an open crown, which could then be creased to the customer’s liking. Since 1948, it has been finished with a traditional, hand-pressed cattleman crease, and has been worn by modern pioneers and trailblazers ever since, from artists and outlaws to Presidents (including, most notably, LBJ, who was rarely photographed on his Texas ranch without his Open Road).
The Open Road Royal Deluxe features a roan leather sweatband and a 4 ¼” crown outfitted with a grosgrain hat band and branding-iron hat pin bearing the initials “JBS”, a nod to their founder, John B. Stetson, whose pioneering legacy lives on in every hat we sell.

Milworks gladly accepts returns of unworn, unwashed, undamaged or defective merchandise purchased online, by phone or in stores for delivery that shipped to a U.S. address for a full refund or exchange within 30 days of original purchase. If you live in Milwaukee WI for your convenience, online and phone purchases may be returned to the Milworks store. Refunds will be made in the form of the original payment. All apothecary, masks, altered apparel or final sale items cannot be returned or exchanged.
