For those of you who do not know why a fabric is called 80's, allow Grayers a quick lesson in textile science. 80s refers to the fine nature of the spun yarn. The higher the number, the finer the yarn. To spin such fine yarn you need high-quality long-staple cotton. This summer they decided to take their casual shirtings to a new level. They used extra fine yarn, often used on dress shirts and wove a "featherweight" cloth. The Portofino is ultra-light, breathable, and super soft. It was inspired by the beautiful fine poplin shirts often making their rounds on the gentlemen of Portofino.
