Chore jackets originated in 19th-century France as garments to wear while knocking out day-to-day work (hence the name). They haven’t strayed too far from the original — simple shape, clean patch pockets at the front, an easy fit through the body — but They've taken it up a notch with horn buttons and elevated fabric. This one is made from a particularly spirited cloth from Portugal… not a true patchwork but rather a jacquard tweed that features several traditional jacketing patterns: think houndstooths, plaids, and herringbones. It's like every fall jacket mashed up into one easy-to-wear piece. Don't overthink the styling… Sid thinks it layers beautifully over more pattern. And at 500glm, it's got just enough weight and structure to carry you through fall. Casual jacket, special cloth.
