Nordic Craft Meets Retro Design: KARHU Launches AW25 Fusion XC Pack with Minestrone Workshop

For the release of the KARHU AW25 Fusion XC Pack, they turned to Helsinki-based design collective Minestrone Workshop. Based in the northern Vallila district, this young collective has been responsible for some of the most exciting products emerging from the Finnish capital. Primarily working with local timber and heavy-duty machinery, Minestrone’s rugged, hands-on approach made the Fusion XC the perfect footwear choice for their craft. Built with hardwearing rugged fabric and a chunky outsole, the Fusion XC blends a distinctive retro aesthetic with modern-day functionality. Inspired by several archival KARHU designs, this new Fusion features a taped M-logo reminiscent of the 1996 Fusion AP. The outsole incorporates an updated version of our signature T-profile lug pattern, first used on many KARHU shoes throughout the last century, including the iconic Synchron Classic.

Meet the KARHU Fusion XT is inspired by their mid 90s models and the historical moment where they branched out from solely running, the modern KARHU Fusion XT gets its namesake and design from our “cross-training” heritage. With this model they aim to celebrate and honour KARHU’s unique place in sports footwear.

If you live in Milwaukee WI for your convenience, online and phone purchases may be returned to the Milworks store. Refunds will be made in the form of the original payment.
